Projects

Our primary intention is to create inclusive spaces where strategically undervalued communities can engage with art, culture, and performance in meaningful ways.

MOVIE NIGHT

The Open-Air Movie Night series brings safe, joyful experiences to Manenberg’s streets. Hosted every second Saturday, these screenings turn familiar corners into community gathering spaces. The programme offers children, youth, families, and elders a space to connect, unwind, and reclaim a sense of belonging.

DANCE AT AIM

Dance at AIM is a dynamic dance development initiative based in Manenberg, offering ballet and contemporary dance classes every Saturday. Led by Darion Adams and Tamsyn Pretorius, the program is designed to cultivate the future of dance leaders by providing a nurturing environment for skill-building, self-expression, and artistic growth. Its purpose is to empower local youth and community members through movement, fostering creativity, discipline, and confidence, while also strengthening connections to their cultural identity and personal well-being. This initiative aims to create opportunities for self-discovery, resilience, and leadership in the world of dance.

ART IN MANENBERG | annual event

ART IN MANENBERG is an annual event that serves as a powerful cultural and socio-political platform in Cape Town’s Cape Flats, offering marginalised voices a space to be heard through diverse artistic expressions such as film, live performance, installations, and workshops.  This event brings local films by local filmmakers to the community of Manenberg, providing access to cinematic experiences for those who would otherwise be unable to afford such platforms. Alongside the film screenings, live performances by artists from Manenberg and the surrounding areas.
